Volunteer service women workers at StCharles hospitalMore than 300 dedicated individuals volunteered a total of 40,000 hours at St. Charles Hospital in 2013. The hospital's in-service volunteers can be found working in all departments. They contribute their time for numerous and varied purposes throughout the hospital including directing visitors, answering phones, filing and assisting the nursing staff with clerical work.

Our Volunteer Dept. continues to work in collaboration with community organizations such as Maryhaven, The American Red Cross and LI Blood Services. We also work in conjunction with community programs such as St. Charles Community Re-entry, Healthy Families Hot Line for the uninsured and RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of Suffolk County). We provide an internship program for local high schools as well as volunteer opportunities for local parish religious programs.
